Kidz Helping Kids is a new initiative that invites kids to give back to their community and helps inspire a philanthropic mindset. Opportunities will include being ambassadors at community events, help at the toy workshop and Christmas hamper distribution. It is our hope that in providing an opportunity for youth to learn about why and how some kids need help, it will help to build compassionate kids who want to make a difference and thereby building the next generation of philanthropists. Santas works not only at Christmas but all year round through special grants, and helping sending kids to camp.
Could we please ask that you distribute the attached information? In short, we are looking for two things:

We are putting on a multicultural dance and food festival this weekend, June 8 and 9, in Centennial Square.
We still need more volunteers for things like helping with recycling, stage hands, putting up and taking down of canopies, positioning tables etc.
This is a really fun, free admission event with 5 different ethnic food trucks as well as colourful dance performances by over 30 ethnic groups.
Please contact our volunteer co-ordinator, Tina Rezvani, firstname.lastname@example.org for information - or simply show up at Centennial Square at 5 pm tomorrow, Friday June 7, for the orientation.
Any questions, please email email@example.com to reach our Directors, or myself firstname.lastname@example.org

The Maritime Museum of BC is currently seeking Visitor Service Volunteers to assist us with our Front Desk operations. This is a service-oriented position that gives volunteers the opportunity to interact with visitors from around the world and to share BC's maritime history and culture. Our exhibit this summer explores the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, so it is also an excellent opportunity to engage with important ocean conservation issues. Duties include welcoming visitors into the Museum; processing admissions and memberships; making Gift Shop sales; and promoting and selling tickets for our special events, workshops, and tours.
Special benefits for regular volunteers include:
-Complimentary annual individual membership to the Maritime Museum of BC.
-10% off in the Museum Gift Shop
-Volunteers are invited to participate in selected programs related training along side the summer students.
We are currently looking for volunteers to cover the Front Desk during a variety of times throughout the week. Shifts are weekly or bi-weekly, and training is provided.
Please contact us at email@example.com if you are interested in coming on board!
